All Ages Welcome

The lessons I offer are not just for school-age children. I offer lessons to all ages, beginning with age 4, all the way up to age 102! You’re never too old!

Studies have shown that learning a musical instrument can actually create new pathways between the left and right side of the brain that wouldn’t exist otherwise. Musicians are quite literally wired differently. Music lessons can also enable students to develop better hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity.

Pre-School

An early start provides the opportunity for building an optimal foundation for learning music, as well as sensory stimulation for physical, mental, emotional, and social development.

Even pre-schoolers who don't yet know how to read can begin learning music! Children can experience a wonderful first introduction to music through movement, games, singing, and improvisation.

Rhythm is the foundation for everything in music.

Through music, students can experience benefits such as improved academic scores, enhanced language skills, high levels of self-control and discipline, as well as proven therapies for students with different learning styles.

Anna completed her level 2 piano safari. Anna, upon completion of each level received a tea cup as a prize. Since she now has two tea cups, she can share a cup of tea with her grandma as she shares her music.

Every student has the opportunity in each lesson to creatively collaborate at the piano. This lesson was no exception! Here Faith and I are playing a duet entitled "Dandelion Fluff," an artistic rote memory piece from Piano Safari Level 1.

adults

What if you are in a different phase of life, and you simply want to keep challenging your brain? Yes, you CAN learn to play the piano, and you CAN change your brain doing it! Stimulate your brain and keep it young!

Whether you want to unlock your piano skills of the past, or you've never played but always dreamt of playing the piano, these lessons are for you! Adult piano lessons are designed to suit your needs and ambitions at the piano and as a musician. Lessons cover topics of your choice in a non-threatening atmosphere of encouragement and dedication.

So often our best laid plans get derailed by life’s challenges. Consequently, adult lessons are scheduled with flexibility. Some adults prefer weekly lessons, while others pursue lessons once or twice a month. We can create a package.

If you’re not able to practice, I will be completely flexible with you. We will do a creative, enjoyable activity which will move you towards your goals. Perhaps we will review any questions you have with your material. Or we will simply do something musical because it’s fun!

We truly cannot believe how lucky and blessed we are with our find. She is an incredible teacher, I don’t even want to say piano teacher because she is so much more than that. Mrs. Denigan teaches to all learning styles; she really gets to know her students and gives them so many strategies to assist with their individual needs. My daughter ends every single lesson with this, “She is the best teacher, I love her so much!” Mrs. Denigan has a way of connecting with her students and honing in on their learning styles- and she’s able to do that with our daughter virtually because of the global pandemic! She, simply put, is amazing.
